Very pleased to have discovered the wonderful staff and excellent customer service at this traditional store. Huge thank you to Elaine (enabling the supply of an urgently needed replacement zipper foot). Rare to encounter such good customer service these days.

What a brilliant company. Nothing was too much trouble when I called in for help with a Singer machine made in 1948! All the staff helped to sort out some new parts and the correct needles. They clearly have a lot of skill and knowledge, but more importantly, are really good people to deal with who are passionate about what they do. THANK YOU!

I have just come off the phone after speaking to an extremely helpful lady called Linda . People are very quick to criticise and slow to praise but I’d like to say a massive thank you for her advice regarding overlockers and cover stitch machines. She gave me helpful information. Thank you.

I recently ordered some Brother sewing machine feet and accessories online. I was surprised and impressed when the shop called me to apologise for the delay (which I hadn't noticed!) as certain items were out of stock and would have to be ordered in. The staff are brilliant and go above and beyond with their service. My order has arrived with signed for delivery and was well packaged. I would definitely use this company again. Recommended.

Hobkirks made a home visit to service and repair my 1919 vintage Singer. Elaine was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional. We went from a dusty relic to a working, beautifully running machine in under an hour. She came armed with lots of information about my particular model which I really did appreciate as its history was a bit of a mystery. This is a great service from Hobkirks for anyone lucky enough to own a vintage machine. As usual with Hobkirks, a first class service from brilliant staff.

I only recently discovered this company online & I have to say their service is exceptional. Trying to get the right needles for my 2 industrial machines has been a nightmare. I’d ordered needles twice from other companies that weren’t the correct ones so on my third attempt I decided to contact Hobkirk . They replied to my email and advised me on which ones to purchase . I ordered them and they arrived with me the next day which I thought was super speedy delivery and sure enough they are the correct ones !! Thank you so much for taking the time to advise me . I shan’t shop anywhere else for my supplies.

Yesterday afternoon my machine (Brother 650e) failed. It had been on the blink for a few days, but I hoped it would last until after Christmas, but alas no. I rang and spoke to an engineer who, after a few questions identified the issue as best he could over the phone and suggested a new part. He then took it up to the office who after taking payment ensured it was in that days post.
Half ten this morning the part arrived and after running off a couple of pieces to check all was OK, I am back up and running.

First class service, knowledgeable engineers with excellent support and office staff!

Absolutely fantastic shop with great staff. I bought my embroidery machine from here nearly 2 years ago (embarrassingly it sat in my office the full 2 years with me too scared to use it after trying once) anyway plucked up the courage to try again with it & just couldn’t get to grips with it. I phoned the shop up as they had mentioned at the time of buying they would run through the basics, I thought it would be a push asking 2 years on, however they were lovely & so helpful. I took my machine in, Steph & Linda had a look and diagnosed a fault so sent it off for repair. When I went back to pick up my machine Linda sat down and went through everything with me, right from the basics of what each stabiliser is used for & which threads, to showing me the workings and how too with the machine. I had a full morning lesson which was so helpful. I have come away feeling positive and no longer scared to try.
Thank you again Linda you’ve been amazing! (I’ve managed tonight to stitch out everything spot on with no tears)
